The website https://tranklaithong.com/ is operated by the migrant support service (referred to as ‘we’). We respect your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect it, and your rights under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019).
1. Personal data we collect
We collect information you provide through forms or contact channels, such as your name, contact details, preferred language and requested service. Where needed, we may request identity document details, expiry dates, address, occupation, income, payment evidence, or information about children and guardians for school coordination. We will explain the required documents before requesting more. You do not need to send every document page at the first consultation.
Please obscure unrelated information before sending documents. If sensitive data such as health information is necessary, we will explain why and obtain explicit consent or rely on a legally permitted exception. For children’s data, we will coordinate with guardians and check authority to provide information or consent as needed.
2. Purposes and legal bases
We use data to answer enquiries, check readiness, prepare quotations, arrange appointments, prepare documents, coordinate with relevant parties and follow up requested services. As appropriate, this is necessary before entering into or performing a contract. Records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations. Security and complaint handling may rely on legitimate interests, taking your rights into account.
Where consent is needed, we will request it separately for the relevant purpose. Visiting this website does not mean consenting to every activity. Without information necessary for a service, we may be unable to verify details, arrange appointments or complete that part of the work. We will explain the consequences before you decide.
3. Location and website preferences
If you choose to provide an address or location to staff, we use it for the requested coordination or appointment. This page does not automatically request your device’s GPS location.
The website remembers your selected language in your browser using localStorage. You can remove it through your browser’s site settings. Fonts and supporting files load from external providers, which may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information. When you open Google Forms, LINE or Facebook, their privacy policies also apply to your use of those services.
4. Disclosure and use of AI
We do not sell or rent personal data. Your chosen service may require sharing necessary information with shops or lenders, schools, government agencies, lawyers or relevant coordination assistants. We will explain the recipients and necessary scope before sharing. Disclosure may also be required by law.
AI may assist with translation for communication. Identifying and unnecessary information should first be removed. If personal data must be sent to an AI service, we will explain the purpose and consider an appropriate legal basis before doing so. Staff must check translations; they are not certified translations.
5. Processing outside Thailand
External services such as Google Forms, LINE, Facebook or AI services may store or process information outside Thailand under their systems and policies. When we transfer personal data abroad, we will consider applicable transfer requirements and safeguards, including notification and consent where required. You may ask about recipients and alternative channels before sending documents.
6. Security
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards against loss and unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure, such as encryption, HTTPS, access restrictions and monitoring of system use.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law. Once no longer needed, it will be deleted, destroyed or made unable to identify you.
8. Your rights
Subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may request access or a copy, information about the source, correction, portability where applicable, object to processing, restrict use, or request deletion, destruction or anonymisation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting lawful processing before withdrawal.
Send requests by email or telephone using section 10, identifying the right you wish to exercise and how we can reply. We may request only the identity verification needed and will consider requests within applicable legal time limits. We will explain any restriction or refusal. You may complain to Thailand’s Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee or another legally competent authority.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy to reflect our services and the law. The revised version and its latest update date will be published on this website.
